Valentín was born on June 7th, 1844.  Valentín's father was D+1844 Agustín Toste del Castillo (R.? ) and his mother was D+1844 Antonia Estevez Amaral (Granadilla).  His paternal grandparents were D-1830 Antonio Santiago Toste del Castillo (R.alto) and D+1830-1844 María Palenzuela (R.Bajo); his maternal grandparents were D+1830-1844 Francisco Estevez and D+1830-1844 Antonia Amaral. He had two brothers named Marcos and Francisco.
